Paul Di'Anno, former Iron Maiden singer, has passed away at the age of 66.

In a statement, his label Conquest Music has confirmed the said news, saying, "On behalf of his family, Conquest Music are sad to confirm the death of Paul Andrews, professionally known as Paul Di'Anno."

No other details about Paul's death have been shared at this time.

Iron Maiden is remembering Di'Anno on social media, saying in a statement, "We are all deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Paul Di'Anno earlier today. Paul's contribution to Iron Maiden was immense and helped set us on the path we have been travelling as a band for almost five decades. His pioneering presence as a frontman and vocalist, both on stage and on our first two albums, will be very fondly remembered not just by us, but by fans around the world.

The band's bassist Steve Harris added, "It’s just so sad he’s gone. I was in touch with him only recently as we texted each other about West Ham and their ups and downs. At least he was still gigging until recently, it was something that kept him going, to be out there whenever he could. He will be missed by us all. Rest in peace mate."

Di'Anno was the frontman for Iron Maiden from 1978 to 1981, and in the years following went on to release solo music, as well as a part of several other metal bands including Gogmagog, Di'Anno's Battlezone, Paul Di'Anno's Killers, Rockfellas, and Warhorse.

Most recently, Di'Anno released his latest album, The Book Of The Beast, at the end of September. The Book Of The Beast is a double album that includes five previously unreleased tracks, along with a curated collection of remastered songs from over the course of Paul's career.

In a statement posted to social media, Di'Anno explained of his latest release, "I'm so proud to finally be releasing an album of my favourite songs that I've recorded over the years since leaving Maiden." He added, "I've got a few friends joining me on a couple of tracks. Tony Martin from Black Sabbath, ZP Theart from Dragonforce and Lidya Balaban from Crowley."
