Kiss played what was thought to be their final show just over a year ago, but over the weekend the band announced a one-off show.

The performance will be part of a 50th anniversary celebration for the band’s fan club, the KISS Army, which is scheduled for November 14-16 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, and the members will be notably "unmasked," which means they won't be donning their iconic makeup.

The announcement falls in line with a comment bassist-singer Gene Simmons told Rolling Stone before the final show, clarifying that the Madison Square Garden show on December 2, 2023 was “the final Kiss-in-makeup appearance."

Part of the reason why Kiss isn't performing in makeup anymore could be because Pophouse Entertainment acquired the band's music catalog and rights to branding in a $300 million deal last year, which includes makeup designs. The company is set to launch Kiss avatar shows in 2027.

In other Simmons news, he recently postponed 17 dates on his upcoming solo tour. Although there was no explanation, fans were assured he "is ok; nothing wrong health-wise!"

"I tried to stay away from being on stage, but it's too much fun," Simmons said about his choice to tour solo. "I thought I was gonna take a few years off after the band I was in for 50 years decided to call it quits. I have other stuff — a restaurant chain, a movie company, a lot of stuff. But I couldn't stay away. Last April we got an offer —'Hey, why don't you put a band together and come and headline the Sao Paulo (Summer Breeze Open Air) Festival?' I said, 'What? Do you mean in a stadium?' 'Yeah, a stadium.' "Wow...OK.'"
